Hello, my name is Charlotte Serrano Pagán. I was born in Ponce and raised in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. I have a career spanning over 20 years as a professional dancer in various disciplines. During that time, I collaborated with renowned international artists such as Don Omar, Akon, Snoop Dogg, and Natti Natasha from 2012 to 2017.
Furthermore, I was a part of the dance cast of “Sábado Gigante” from 2000 to 2012, one of the most-watched programs in the Spanish-speaking television and entertainment industry. As a member of the “Sábado Gigante” dance cast, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of artists, including Tito el Bambino, Fanny Lu, Gloria Trevi, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Melina León, Romeo Santos, among others.
I also served as a host and TV presenter, honing my skills as a bilingual (Spanish and English) emcee and master of ceremonies in the entertainment world. On another note, I also have experience working on Public Service Announcements and covering events as a correspondent or reporter in Spanish.
My contribution to the world of dance goes beyond being part of the dance cast of artists or programs. I am the pioneer in the Salsa Cabaret category, becoming the first Salsa dance couple to incorporate lifts and aerial tricks into professional and world-level Salsa dance competitions. This achievement allowed me to obtain the title of three-time world Salsa champion, highlighting my excellence in dance.
Currently, I work as a choreographer, dance teacher, Airbnb host, tour guide, and fitness enthusiast. The nine-to-five employee lifestyle isn’t for me! With two decades of experience in the dance industry, television, and the competitive world of professional services, I have gained invaluable expertise. In addition to my dance career, I have ventured into various fields of interest, including social work, DNA counseling, HIV recreational therapy, support coordination, community and artist teaching, on-air talent, video editing, TV hosting, substitute teaching, behavior intervention therapy, payroll coordination, solar energy consulting, and fitness sales representative.
Regarding my academic background:
In 2022, I completed a Master’s in Digital Marketing at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico. This education provided me with the necessary skills to manage my marketing campaigns, maximize my online presence, and enhance website optimization.
I am certified as a tour guide by ICPR College (2022), having completed a 400-hour training program.
I also hold 24 master’s level credits in pedagogy with a specialization in dance from New York University (NYU).
Moreover, I am certified by the Artist Teacher Institute Professional Development at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Additionally, I am registered with the Department of Recreation and Sports of the Government of Puerto Rico as a Salsa Instructor, and I have the intention to obtain certification as a Recreational Leader for the Elderly.
This ensures that our activities meet government standards and requirements, offering participants a safe and educational experience.
